♢ SILVER

◈ Lunar Energy
◈ The Archetypal Feminine Energy
◈ Mystery
◈ Introversion
◈ The Unconscious

Silver is believed to be the metal of the Goddess, the Moon, the night, the secret, the mysterious, the Female Energy.
Silver is second to Gold in its electrical conductivity, and it also harmonizes very well with most Gemstones.
Unlike Gold, which emanates extroverted energy, Silver emanates introverted energy. Silver Encourages self-containment & inward reflection.
Silver is the mirror to the soul, the metal of moonlight.
In Fairy tales, Silver symbolizes the journey through the dark forest and the confrontation with mystery.
Silver Harmonizes best with Gemstones that enhance psychic abilities, or Gemstones that heal the emotional body.
Allow Silver to help you explore the deep inner realms of intuition and emotion.
Silver is able to bring attunement to the emotional self.
However, Its energies may be too intense for individuals already highly empathetic and sensitive.
Silver helps us embrace mystery and surrender ourselves to the great unknown.

The mysterious Moon has always captured the human imagination. Its luminous presence in the night sky made it a symbol of hope & enlightenment.
Like the Sun, it is associated with birth, death and resurrection, but it also controls the waters as a fertility symbol.
The Moon is linked with bemusement; Its dark side relates to the occult and its feminine qualities bind it to the mother Goddess.
In addition to influencing the tides, weather and life in general, the Moon was credited with ruling over human destiny.
The full Moon shares the symbolism of the circle as an image of wholeness and strength.
The Chinese associate it with the essence of Yin and the Feminine.
To Buddhists it represents spiritual power.
The Harvest Moon symbolized agricultural fertility.
The world “lunatic” comes from the Latin word for Moon, Luna, and originally meant “Moonstruck”.
As the Queen of heaven, the virgin Mary is associated with the Moon, and lunar deities range from protective mother figures to fierce goddesses, such as the Roman hunter Goddess Diana.
Moreover, planetary signs such as the Moon and the Sun were used by Alchemists to represent some alchemic symbols. In Alchemy, the Moon symbol was used to represent silver, and it signified intuition, fertility, and the body as opposed to the Sun’s soul.
In Wicca, the triple moon symbolizes the triple Goddess as the waxing, full, and waning Moon, the sign as a whole signifies the cycle of life.

Because the Moon is illuminated at night by the light of the Sun, it inevitably carries with it all the positive and negative aspects of the female.
However, without the light of the Sun, none of the Planets in our solar system would be illuminated, and life on Earth would cease to exist, at least the way we know it.
Earth, then shares some kind of sisterhood with the Moon in that they are both reliant on the Sun for their illumination.
The Moon is visible primarily at night, and night time is associated with death. Our ancestors believed that the souls of the dead must exist in the lunar atmosphere, an ancient belief that caused some consternation at the time of the first Moon landings.
The Moon, because it is a mirror to the Sun, signifies the accumulation of knowledge based on a more inductive and painstaking way of learning.
The Owl, a nocturnal bird that shares some symbolic space with the Moon, is therefore the bird of knowledge.
The color of the Moon means that it is connected with the metal Silver.
In human beings, the female menstrual cycle copies the cycle of the Moon. The word menstruation, comes from the Greek word “mene” meaning Moon.
